Dr. Shawn Rennick
Dr. Shawn Rennick
Dr. Rennick is a chiropractor and the owner of Action Sports Clinic. He obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. Since then he has completed additional professional training in Active Release Technique®, acupuncture, physical rehabilitation and advanced analysis and treatment of biomechanical foot problems.
Carlie completed her Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia after obtaining her Bachelor of Human Kinetics.
She has a comprehensive athletic background which includes playing for the UBC Varsity Women’s Ice Hockey team, instructing ice hockey camps, and volunteering at various sporting events such as the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.
Carlie has 9 years experience working in a private practice setting in Vancouver and Sherwood Park and joined the Action Sports Clinic team in February, 2020.
Alex was born and raised in Calgary. She grew up playing soccer, basketball, and rugby and has been no stranger to injuries. Working closely with physiotherapists in her youth inspired Alex to pursue a similar career path, and by age 14 she knew she
wanted to be part of the profession. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary and a Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Alberta.
Alex loves working with athletes and helping them return to sport after injuries. Experience as a strength and conditioning coach allows Alex to bring training principles to the forefront of her Physiotherapy treatments as well. Her focus is to find the root cause of movement dysfunctions and retrain the body in optimal movement patterns. Alex has a special interest in pelvic and sacroiliac pain, TMJ, as well as neck and postural pain. She has completed postgraduate courses in treating urinary incontinence, a Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy: Level 1, and has a goal to continue further education in Manual Therapy.
Kaylee is a 2200hr Registered Massage Therapist. Her treatment techniques focus on eliminating pain, resolving issues and maintaining any dysfunctions within the body. Helping you get through your everyday activities. When not at work, you can find Kaylee in the gym training. She is a CPA Bikini Competitor who recently competed in her first Regionals show, placing 1st in her class and is now training for Nationals in 2020. Kaylee moved to Calgary three years ago from Grande Prairie, Alberta searching for more opportunity and hasn’t looked back since. She looks forward to meeting you and aiding in your wellbeing.
